Big thanks to this client for the design commission! The client requested something different—”not your typical itasha with a big key visual, but instead, a design that extracts and reinterprets mecha elements.” That creative challenge immediately got me thinking: how can we speak through lines?
The idea that came to mind first was the iconic armor panel lines of Gundam units. These aren’t just functional seams—they’re aesthetic elements that convey depth, complexity, and structure.
From there, I refined the concept into two key themes: 1️⃣ The sharp, segmented flow of Gundam-style panel lines representing that mecha essence. 2️⃣ The massive mechanical wings of the Snow White unit.
I deconstructed the armor logic of Snow White, transforming its angular mechanical seams into a flowing visual language that runs along the sides of the car. I also built a “mecha core” motif on the hood—serving as the centerpiece of the entire design.
This project was all about translating machine aesthetics into motion-ready art. Hope you enjoy this abstract tribute to Gundam’s legacy!
