Big thanks to this client for this wildly imaginative commission! This couple had quite the unique request—the husband is a hardcore mecha fan, while the wife loves Pikachu. In the end, they handed me a main visual featuring Pikachu riding a mechanical rhino, and asked me to bring it to life. Truly one-of-a-kind and wonderfully creative!
The theme of this design became: “Using mecha logic to tame contrasting cuteness.”
At first glance, the armored iron rhino and Pikachu might seem like a clash, but through mech-style armor paneling and visual elements, I turned it into something that resembles a “pain-tank” straight out of a video game. By cleverly dividing the visual zones, the front of the car uses the rhino’s green color, while the rear transitions into Pikachu’s signature yellow—allowing the two elements to merge seamlessly and naturally.
One highlight worth mentioning: the owner is a big fan of the sharp and aggressive lines seen on rhino heads, so we placed a very striking armored rhino emblem on the hood as a centerpiece, giving the front of the design its final touch.
I’m really happy that this design managed to satisfy both husband and wife. Wishing you two all the happiness and joy!
