Big thanks to my client for this commission! This time, the design leans toward a clean and minimalistic style—no heavy layering or complex effects. Ironically, the biggest challenge came from Azur Lane itself. The game has been around for quite a while now, and unfortunately, it was surprisingly difficult to find high-resolution original artwork of Taihō, despite how stunning her designs are.
I spent a lot of time painstakingly redrawing and enhancing three key illustrations, especially the one on the passenger side—her face was nearly unrecognizable before editing, and honestly, the unprocessed version looked like something out of a horror show. Thankfully, after all that effort, the final visual came out beautifully. Seeing it on the actual car made all the time and energy totally worth it!
