A huge thank you to my chinese client for the commission! I’m so excited to finally work on an EVA design, and what’s even more special is that I received two commissions at once—Asuka and Rei.
I went with the classic red and blue theme, because, as they say, “Red and blue are a perfect pair.” Asuka has a ton of great images and existing designs, but in order to create a unique style that matched the client’s vision, I chose this collaborative image that has a slight departure from the original anime style.
The addition of the Unit 02 elements in the background really helped bring the theme together perfectly.
