We at Cryroc Itasha Studio are incredibly grateful to our client for commissioning this stunning Land Rover Defender Itasha, inspired by the beloved JRPG series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. The Defender’s rugged durability and off-road prowess make it an ideal canvas for showcasing the dynamic personas of Crow Armbrust, the charismatic gambler, and Alisa Reinford, the spirited heiress. This project blends the epic storytelling of the Trails series with the bold aesthetics of automotive art, creating a unique piece for anime and car enthusiasts.
Drawing inspiration from the game’s rich lore and visual style, we crafted a design using deep brown, blue, and black tones to reflect the game’s dramatic atmosphere and the Defender’s robust character. The hood prominently features Falcom’s anniversary artwork, a tribute to the series’ legacy that adds sophistication and serves as a striking focal point. This choice not only celebrates the game’s history but also enhances the vehicle’s visual impact, resonating with fans of the Trails series.
The Defender’s sharp, angular design presented challenges in seamlessly integrating Crow and Alisa’s character layouts. Multiple adjustments were necessary to ensure the designs complemented the vehicle’s lines without compromising artistic integrity. Through close collaboration with a skilled wrap shop, we achieved a flawless application, resulting in a cohesive and impactful design that feels organic to both the car and the characters.
A standout feature is the custom design on the spare tire cover, adding a personalized touch to this Itasha masterpiece.
