Creating this Taiho-themed wrap for the Xiaomi SU7 was a journey of artistic resurrection. When the client requested a clean, minimalist interpretation of Azur Lane’s iconic carrier, we faced an unexpected challenge: despite Taiho’s popularity, finding high-quality source material proved surprisingly difficult after years of service.
The real effort went into breathing new life into vintage artwork. For the passenger side focal point, we meticulously reconstructed facial details pixel-by-pixel – what began as a blurred image now radiates Taiho’s signature grace. This taught us that great design isn’t just about composition, but about honoring the character’s essence through technical restoration.
We embraced minimalism as a strength. Instead of layered effects, we focused on crisp linework and strategic negative space that complements the SU7’s fluid contours. The clean approach actually highlights Taiho’s elegance better than busier designs would have. Special credit to our production team who adapted the artwork seamlessly around the EV’s sensors and charging ports.
Seeing sunlight catch the subtle metallic flakes in Taiho’s hair ornament during the final photoshoot… that quiet moment confirmed we’d achieved our goal: a timeless tribute that moves as gracefully as the shipgirl herself.

As an Azur Lane veteran since launch week, finding quality Taiho merch is tough. This wrap nails her elegance – the clean lines show off her kimono details perfectly. I was worried about the low-res source art but they completely rebuilt her face better than the original! My guild mates freaked out when I drove to the meetup.
