Working on this Evangelion-themed wrap for the Xiaomi SU7 felt like a dream project. Asuka has always been a fan favorite, and the challenge was doing justice to her iconic character while making it work with the car’s unique lines.
The client’s vision was clear from the start: a bold red-and-black design that captures Asuka’s fiery spirit. Instead of using common poses, we selected a collaborative artwork that offered a fresh take on her character. This approach helped create something distinct from typical EVA wraps you see around.
What really tied everything together were the subtle Unit-02 elements integrated into the background. They’re not overpowering, but they add depth to the overall theme. The SU7’s smooth surfaces actually helped these background details flow naturally across the body.
Special thanks to our installation team – wrapping an electric vehicle’s sensor-rich panels requires extra precision. Seeing the final result under natural light, with the metallic red catching the sun just right… that’s when we knew we’d honored both Asuka and the SU7’s design.

As an old-school EVA fan, I’m picky about Asuka merch. This wrap nails her attitude without being tacky. The artist balanced the bold colors perfectly – the red pops but doesn’t overwhelm. Unit-02 elements in the background are a nice touch for true fans. Only con? Too many people asking to take photos!
